M & M and the boys came to the UK during our summer, their winter, and spent time with all parts of their family. Later we booked a cottage in Derbyshire for a few days in the Peak District. Inspected the boys' trees on the way up. Visited and went down the Speedwell caves (by boat) and Blue John mine, then finished up in Thomas Land at Drayton Manor on the way home. ...more...

Flew Air France via Paris to Jan Smutts, then an internal flight to Port Elizabeth for a couple of nights. Picked up hire car and drove to Kariega Game park to see wildlife in the wild. Then set out along the Garden route, spending nights in Plettenburg, Oudtshoorn and Hermanus, before arriving at Cape Town. Took the Rovos rail train 'Pride of Africa' to Pretoria and a guided tour before flying home from Johannesburg. ...more...
