A trip on the bucket list, using the Hurtigruten 'Nordkapp' to travel up the Norwegian coast from Bergen to Kirkenes. However, with our own itinerary, we flew into Oslo, spending a couple of nights there, then got the train to Flåm, for one night, a fast ferry to Balestrand for another night, and yet another fast ferry to Bergen. After 2 nights in Bergen we boarded our Hurtigruten and spent 7 nights visiting practically every port up to Kirkenes, crossing into the arctic circle and the land of the midnight sun. After a night on dry land in Kirkenes we flew back to Oslo, for another overnight before flying home.
