Second part of our 'Deep South' tour, these pictures cover the Riverboat section down the Mississippi on the American Queen. Shore leave was granted at Greenville, Vicksburg and Natchez, where we visited various private southern properties such as Anchuca Historic Mansion in Vicksburg, and public buildings (OK, mainly courtrooms). Arriving at Baton Rouge late evening), we spent most of the following day visiting the Louisiana State Capitols (new and old), Capitol Park Museum, the Old Governors mansion, and the USS Kidd military museum. On our final full day we stopped at the very grand Nottoway's House, where our guides were decked up in 19th century costumes. Arrived next day in New Orleans to debark for the next stage of our trip.
